CCTV Update

The installation of the new CCTV network was completed last week at Copacabana Surf Lifesaving Club. The decision to install a system of this kind came at the suggestion of one of our members after a couple of low key incidents that involved vandalism to the club. The club is very pleased to now have the additional deterrent that a CCTV system can provide.

By commercial arrangement, Centech Security provided the system and for that we are very appreciative. The club, its members and guests, now have the comfort that the building and its equipment are protected, but also that activity within the ‘club area’ has a watchful eye also. It is supported by back-to-base monitoring of our existing alarm systems

Knowing that CCTV had greater community benefit, the club extended the offer to allow broader coverage to the main part of town. While that offer was unable to be taken up at this stage, it will remain looking towards the future and what is best for our club and the residents of Copa.
