Artists Bio

I studied art at High School in England and have always enjoyed painting, especially with acrylics and water colours. My art took a back seat for several years whilst I concentrated on my passion for animals as I became a Veterinary Nurse after leaving school. I reawakened my creative side in the form of face painting during a wet miserable school holiday in England when I entertained my children and others by painting various characters on their faces, as well as other arts and crafts that we could do inside, ranging from hand puppets to paintings as well as baking.

I moved to Australia in 2009, with time on my hands I invested in a sketch pad and some pencils and was soon enjoying sketching landscapes and my family. I have developed a love for acrylics using an impressionist style of painting, painting “Poppy Fields, Sunflower Fields and Water Lillies”. I also thoroughly enjoy watercolour and pen work and love to indulge in painting beach landcapes.

On weekends I can often be spotted at markets and children’s birthday parties where I face paint, I find this one of the most rewarding jobs, there is nothing quite like a child’s smile as payment when they look in the mirror to admire your work.
